Occupational English Test

Are you a health professional who needs the OET qualification to be able to practice? Do you need an interlocuter for your OET test? We can help you practice for the speaking test by simulating work scenarios by acting as a prospective patient or a relative of a patient that has come to you for advice regarding a certain set of symptoms and/or treatments.
These practice role play sessions are in the same format at the actual test. You will receive a scenario and script similar to that which you might receive on the test day.
The practice will be conducted via a 1:1 zoom session which includes the following:
-
You will be presented with a script and have 3 minutes to make notes and familiarise yourself with the scenario.
-
You will then have 5 minutes to start the role play and communicate with the interlocuter (Heather)
-
When you have said enough, she will stop you and you will move on to the next role play.
-
You will be presented with a 2nd script and have 3 minutes to make notes and familiarise yourself with the scenario.
-
You will then have another 5 minutes to start the role play and communicate with the interlocuter
When you are stopped from speaking by the interlocuter, you have said enough whether you have finished the entire script or not. Remember, the role play is just a way of assessing your ability to communicate with patients and family. It is not a test of your professional knowledge.
